Farandole Philosophy

Special taste, trust, and humanism

When choosing a company name, we thought about two things.

1. ‘Farandole and Cadenza

‘Farandole’ is the title of a song from Bizet’s Women in Arles. We chose Farandole because it sounded pretty and could be used internationally if we were to open business in different parts of the world, even though we liked the meaning of ‘Cadenza’ better.
‘Cadenza’ is a part created to maximize the technique between movements, or at the end of the song, without affecting the song itself, but at the same time, it makes the song very colorful and beautiful. Our company philosophy is not the product itself, but the sauce and broth that makes the product more alive, so we were thinking about adopting the name ‘Cadenza’.

Anyway, the basic philosophy of our company, ‘Farandole’, is to maximize the quality of the product without changing the product itself by maximizing the quality of Farandole sauces.

2. A conversation with a business partner

Once, our CEO Mr. Park was on a business trip to China, and got a call from Korea.
When the caller said that they were going to open a chicken restaurant, Mr. Park said, “If you visit our company next week, we will tell you more details and information.”
“We’re in Anyang, and Ansan is too far away.”
“It’s a business you risk your life for, is it that far away?”
“We’re not risking our lives for this business.”
“We, Farandole, risk our lives, so if you don’t risk your life, look elsewhere.”

If you look at the food chain in the African grasslands, lions, leopards, and cheetahs are always hunting to stay alive.
However, it is said that if these animals sprint for more than 500 meters, their body temperature rises, putting their lives in jeopardy.
Therefore, herbivores can only survive by running more than 500 meters.
So, the reason herbivores run in a zigzag when seen on TV is because they can survive if they run for a longer period of time.
Of course, TV only shows scenes where lions eat herbivores, so we always think lions are successful in hunting.
However, in reality, the success rate of lions is less than 20%.
This is because if a lion fails, it can search for another prey again, but animals such as gazelles lose their lives if they fail.

A lion runs for a meal while a gazelle runs for its life!
A manufacturer who can be seen as one of many while a new company risking its life to start!
Farandole comes to the customer with a gazelle-like feeling.
